Delete your FunFi account
Last updated: 26 October 2026
This page explains how to delete your FunFi account and what happens to your data. FunFi is provided by Vertex Tech Ltd.
Delete your account in the app
- Open FunFi and tap your avatar on Home to open your Profile.
- Tap Pin & Security.
- Tap Delete My Account.
- Choose a reason for leaving, add more detail if you like, and tap Confirm Deletion.
Your account is scheduled for deletion and is erased 24 hours later. Until then you can change your mind: tap Cancel Deletion on the confirmation screen, or email us before the 24 hours are up.
Delete your account without the app
If you no longer have the app, email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my account". Send it from the email address on your account, or tell us the phone number on your account. We will confirm that the account is yours, for example by sending a code to that phone number, and then schedule the deletion. The same 24 hour window applies. We reply within 3 working days.
What is deleted
When the 24 hours are up, we erase:
- your profile, including your name, date of birth, country, emirate and avatar;
- your sign-in details and PIN;
- your lessons, quiz answers, streaks, coins, XP, hearts and badges;
- your Toro conversations;
- your gift-card orders and codes;
- your identity check records, and the ID and selfie photos from an identity check, if you did one;
- your notifications and settings.
The ID and selfie files are removed from storage shortly after the rest of your account, normally within about 15 minutes.
Coins, XP and unused gift-card codes cannot be recovered after deletion. If you want to use a gift-card code, do it before you delete your account.
What is kept
- Records of actions our team took on your account, such as the result of an identity review (including the date of birth checked), a manual coin adjustment, a suspension or a deletion request. They are kept in a log that cannot be edited, so we can account for what our team did.
- If you joined with a friend's invitation code, your friend's record of the invitation stays with their account, with your phone, device and network details removed.
- Analytics data held by PostHog, and crash data held by Sentry if crash reporting is switched on, for the period set in those services. They are linked only to an account number that no longer points to anyone.
- Backups kept by our hosting provider may contain your data until they are replaced in the normal backup cycle.
